CAFOD Summer of Hope - National Assembly
This will take place on Thursday 18 June – a week on Thursday – at 10am, on CAFOD’s YouTube page. (This will be available beforehand in case teachers want to check the content beforehand, and of course, if your assembly takes place later in the day, you will be able to watch it together at a time of your choosing.) Sunday Liturgy Sheets
Redemptorist Publications have kindly shared their Sunday sheets: Look and Icthus. "Look is a Sunday sheet for children between 4-9 years old providing Gospel-focused activities and games for younger children. It is useful for children’s liturgy, school religious education and for family use. Each week the Gospel story is explained in age appropriate language." Read the Daily Gospel Through Art
This website links the daily Gospel reading to a piece of religious art. You could use this for your own prayer and reflection or as a basis for lessons. Novena to the Holy Spirit
'Traditionally, this prayer begins on Thursday nine days, hence “novena” before the Feast of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.' This period of nine days commemorates the time Mary and the disciples of Jesus spent in prayer after the Ascension and before the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Meditation for children and young people
"The Catholic Children’s Society (CCS) support the material, relational and spiritual wellbeing of children and young people. During the Coronavirus crisis we have collaborated with the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM) to develop a series of videos on meditation which children and young people can participate in, whether in school or at home." Daily virtual singing sessions from the Diocese of Leeds Schools Singing Programme are now available at 2pm every weekday. Aimed at primary school children every session includes sacred music, RE and music curriculum learning, and lots of vocal fun and songs to keep children engaged in lifting their voices to God. They're led by the Diocese's expert Choral Directors, and sessions for younger and older children are also available. An Examen for the Family Pray as you Go have produced a lovely way for families to share a version of the traditional Jesuit prayer form the Examen. This can be used at the end of the day. Either go to the website and listen to the instructions or download the pdf file. Please do share it.
